Description

Paris, 1898. Throughout the city, preparations for the 1900 World's Fair are in full swing. Scaffolding is being erected here and there, and the false tunnels that will later be covered are being built in the streets. Construction of the Paris metropolitan transport network is already underway, and it's up to you to ensure the efficient layout of the tracks.

Metro is a classic, first published in 1997, now available in a revised edition with four expansions included. Designed by Dirk Henn, it allows for groups of 2 to 6 players, ages 8 and up, lasting approximately 30 minutes. Through a core tile-laying mechanic, the objective of the game is to earn the most victory points by building underground railway lines.

Easy to learn and play, scoring the most points is a real challenge. On their turn, players draw and place a tile on the board, expanding the rail network. Players score points when they complete a line from one of their cars to a station. And if they connect to the central station, they double their score.

Once you've mastered the base game, you can add one or more of the expansions included in the box. The first module is the subway companies module, which adds the game board and the deck of 32 stake cards. In this version, instead of playing a tile on the central board, players can exchange shares in a company. At the end of the game, players score points based on the profits their shares bring them. The second module is the subway stations module, which allows you to add cars to the central station. The third module is the central tracks module, which adds four track tiles to the central station square. Finally, there's the station numbers module, which includes 32 numbered tokens and gives players bonus points at the end of the game.
