Cities & Knights is the definitive expansion for Catan: The Game, making it more strategic while maintaining the fun factor—in other words, improving what was almost unbeatable.

In Cities & Knights, the island of Catan has already developed and requires more than just basic resources. Furthermore, barbarians are constantly seeking to invade the island of Catan, so now is the time to defend ourselves with knights and protect our cities and towns. Cities & Knights uses the board from Catan: The Game as its basis, modifying the purchase of developments and the arrival of the robber. The variant now consists of a third die that will bring the barbarians closer each turn or allow us to receive development cards of various types of influence, depending on the characteristics we have been able to unlock through our new consumables.

In this variant, interaction is emphasized, allowing us to attack our opponents using development cards, removing knights so that when the barbarians arrive, they're defenseless, or eliminating roads so they don't connect to a town or city. These are just a few of the many options this excellent expansion will offer.
