At Botanicus, your mission is to create your own botanical garden. Hire a gardener and seek out the world's most beautiful plants. But don't plant them just anywhere! Visitors are demanding and know exactly what they want to see. Will your garden stand out from the rest?

Designed by Vieri Masseini and Samuele Tabellini, with illustrations by Marcel Gröber, Botanicus is a game for 2 to 4 players, recommended for ages 10 and up, with games lasting 45 to 60 minutes. The goal is to earn more victory points than the other players by completing tasks, progressing on the scoreboards, or cultivating a spectacular botanical garden.

On their turn, each player moves their gardener around their personal board, which represents a garden with flowerbeds arranged in rows and columns. In the four spaces around them, the gardener can plant different types of seeds or water the plants to help them grow. Players must strategically decide which actions to take and try to complete specific tasks that award points or coins. At the end of the game, bonus points are awarded for each flowerbed column completely filled with plants, so make sure your gardener doesn't fall behind!

Botanicus received a recommendation at the prestigious Kennerspiel des Jahres 2024 awards. Although it's classified as a game for experts, its mechanics are accessible to a wide audience. The rules are clear and well explained in a 12-page manual, which includes practical examples and interesting facts about the plants grown during the game.

One of the highlights of Botanicus is its high-quality workmanship, featuring detailed design and intuitive artwork. In addition to the central board and personal game boards, the game includes numerous colorful wooden pieces depicting gardeners, shovels, wheelbarrows, money bags, flowers, and animals. It also contains several decks of cards, tokens, and tiles. To keep everything organized, the game comes with five folding cardboard boxes that make it easy to organize and set up each game.
